Football Spin & Go's

Short-format, winner-take-all tournaments with a randomized prize multiplier.

Overview

Spin & Go's are short-format, winner-take-all tournaments. Each one is contested by exactly three clubs paying an identical entry fee. Play begins once all three seats are filled and a prize multiplier is drawn at random.

How Spin & Go's work

Entry

Three clubs must each pay the same entry fee before the tournament starts. The entry fee is set per tournament — and you can use a Spin & Go ticket in place of the fee where you have one.

Prize pool spin

Once registration closes, a prize-pool multiplier is selected at random, ranging from 2× to 100× the entry fee. The wheel carries eight multipliers:

100× 50× 25× 10× 5× 4× 3× 2×

Match conditions

Match conditions are randomized after all entries are filled, so they vary between tournaments.

Tournament structure

Tournaments use a double round-robin: each of the three teams plays the other two twice (4 matches per club). Standings are decided by Points, then Goal Difference, then Goals Scored, then total Wins. If the top two are equal on all four, the tournament is a draw and all clubs share the prize pool.

Payout structure

Spin & Go's are winner-take-all: only 1st place receives a payout, sized by the multiplier drawn before kickoff. There are no prizes for 2nd or 3rd — unless the tournament ends in a draw, in which case all three clubs share the prize pool.

Rake

Spin & Go's carry a built-in rake that varies by buy-in level. It's baked into the prize-probability distribution rather than charged as a separate fee, and higher buy-ins carry a lower rake. Rake collected is shared equally among $FROTH stakers, $FROTH buy & burn and the protocol.

Prize pool distribution

Each multiplier is drawn using a fixed probability, shown below per buy-in level as the number of draws in every 10,000,000. The bigger the multiplier, the rarer the hit — and the prize for a top multiplier can exceed the total entry fees collected in a single tournament.

Additional notes

  • Winner-take-all unless the tournament is a draw — only 1st place is paid.
  • Prize-pool multipliers are selected using predefined probabilities.
  • Prizes may exceed the total amount collected in a single tournament.
  • All randomness — the multiplier and match conditions — is determined after every club has entered and before the tournament begins.
